Equipment

For patients and residents with limited or impaired mobility, time spent out of bed may be a specific rehabilitation goal or the highlight of their day.
All too often, though, the transfer process is risky and too difficult for one person to manage on their own. Our comprehensive range of transfer solutions is designed to ensure a simple, streamlined process that is safe, comfortable and dignified for everyone involved.

The two transfer equipment types are:

Sara (Standing and Raising Aides)
Standing and raising aids enable patients/residents to be raised up from a bed, chair, toilet or wheelchair for transferral or transportation. Promoting mobility and early mobilization, they are ideal for residents/patients that are having difficulty getting up into a standing position.

Passive Lifts (floor and ceiling mounted)
Easy to understand, simple to operate and providing maximum patient/resident comfort. Arjo’s lifts are firmly established as the most appropriate ergonomic choice for today’s professional nurses and caregivers.
From the busiest nursing home to the smallest home or apartment, caregivers are constantly faced with the risk of crippling back pain and injury due to the manual transferring and handling of patients/residents. With the right mechanical aids in place, caregiver safety can be improved and musculoskeletal injury-related costs can be reduced.

Many healthcare professionals were taught that proper body mechanics can eliminate the risk of injury when lifting patients. But newer research shows us that the only safe way to reduce injury to thousands of caregivers is by using a ceiling lift. That said, how can institutions ensure compliance for use of ceiling lifts?

Daily Hygiene

A full range of shower, toilet and washbasin products enable safe, efficient daily hygiene routines for the full spectrum of patient/resident mobility. Easy-to-use equipment provides the optimum level of support and activation for each mobility level and ensures optimal ergonomic conditions for caregivers.
Bathing and wellness
Quality bathing systems ensure an optimum environment to support high quality and ergonomic working conditions throughout the assisted bathing cycle. We provide flexible solutions to meet safety and comfort needs in bathing areas.

Bathing tubs
Opening the door to a revolution in residential bathing, the Freedom Bath® is one of the most easily accessible baths ever built.
In residential care environments, full long-side access makes both independent and assisted bathing safer and easier.
Enhancing lives
The Freedom Bath can improve quality of life, by maximizing the level of active involvement in the bathing process
Making tasks easier and safer
Lift integration with the side entry Freedom Bath means no manual resident/patient handling is required during assisted bathing sessions. The controls are positioned for convenient access by both caregiver and independent bather.
Improving care and efficiency
This is a highly efficient hygiene system for independent bathing and can reduce the demand for assisted bathing. The Freedom Bath makes independent bathing more accessible to the more ambulatory residents, as the side of the bath is no longer a problem. This could reduce the amount of staff resources necessary for assisted bathing.
